The founders of ‘Veronove Tegels’ in Ninove and ‘De Nieuwe Tegel’ in Aalst and Sint Martens Latem travel the world looking for tiles and natural stone since the early eighties of the previous century. Since the beginning of this millennium, they cherished the idea to go one step further. All too often, these globetrotters were faced with local craftsmen in India, Brazil, Vietnam, Morocco, … that can do more than just make beautiful tiles. When after countless worldwide searches the right craftsmen are found that sell interesting materials such as Indian parquet, Moroccan ironwork and Tadelakt paint, Brazilian precious stones, eastern basalt for statues, Vietnamese and Turkish natural stone for bathrooms, etc…, Etceterra’s own designers start working. Based on the raw basic materials a design is created that fits within a stylish Belgian dwelling or garden. This design is then imported per container in large quantities. Finally, our decorators start integrating these articles in our 2000m² store.

This innovative system appears to be very cost-saving. Everything presented in our showroom, can be collected by the customer in the collection warehouse the same day. The Etceterra articles are designed such that they are easy to install in most environments. Some good examples are standardised walk-in showers and walls in natural stone; hand-made bathroom and kitchen cupboards in Indian teak and eastern bluestone; Russian oak parquet oiled in several colours, ready for use, etc.

Note also that Etceterra only wants to offer what is in stock. Once an article is sold out, it will only rarely become available again. The Etceterra articles are not the produce of industrial mass production, but rather of local craftsmanship. It gives your wooden piece of furniture or natural stone washbasin the personal touch everyone is looking for. On the following page, you can read more about Etceterra’s commercial philosophy.

I am sure that once you've discovered the Etceterra concept store, next time you'll come, you'll bring your friends along.
